Many employees have come into the organization in one role however have requested to cross train in a completely different area and thus transitioned into a role within that new focus. In thinking about how to execute hospitality from an operations perspective, I dug deep into my almost psychology degree (yes, I started down the psychology path in my undergrad before switching to business) and leaned into Maslow's Hierarchy of Need. Shortly after, I established the Client Experience practice, whose mission is to cultivate hospitality for our clients. That the role could simultaneously provide an excellent client experience through delivery hospitality in project/program execution while balancing the needs of the project team and the business. In 2017 I had the opportunity to join Wheelhouse as their first project manager, bringing a perspective that project management could be done differently from the traditional PMO.
